“Unleash your Creativity” was delivered by one of our artist Emily @emiroseeartist on 17th March in GS Artists, Swansea. We had some new people joining us for this session. The workshop was very interesting, with a lot of creativity from everyone! Emily explained the workshop, so the first exercise was a challenge as we had to draw/paint/use the materials without looking at the paper, drawing without looking was challenging! There were a lot of exercises, we didn’t have time to think!
- Don’t look at what being drawn on
- Fill a whole page to hide any white on the paper.
- Tell your partner what to create with just eye contact – no gestures or signing at all!
- Create an object from paper.
- A3 paper game! We started with 2 minutes on the clock, each person has to pass it on to next person but each time frame got shorter!
The last exercise, we used A2 paper to expand what we created so far onto the A2. We had 15 minutes, so there was a lot more thinking involved this time. People said they loved it as it was nice to focus on something and to have a break. They loved being creative even when they didn’t think they were.
